This issue appeared after the iOS 18.6 update, when Apple introduced a new permission for apps. We’re currently working on a permanent fix.

During setup, your phone will ask for permission to access the local network. Select Allowso the ES Connect app can discover devices on your network.

If you accidentally selected Don’t Allow,you can fix it later:
Go to Settings → ES Connect → Local Network and enable the permission.

If the -6 error still appears after enabling Local Network, unplug ES2000, wait a few seconds, plug it back in, and start pairing again. Once pairing succeeds once, the issue typically won’t occur again.

Yes you can control your ES2000 devices from anywhere using the ES Connect app.

To enable remote control:

1. Update the ES Connect app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Update your ES2000 firmware through the app.
3. Make sure ES2000 and the mobile app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network at least once during the update process.

After the update, you can control your devices remotely from anywhere with an internet connection.

If you’ve previously connected ES2000 to a Wi-Fi network (for example at home) and later move it elsewhere, the device will try to reconnect to the old network automatically.

To connect it to a new Wi-Fi network:

1. Open the ES Connect app on your phone.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select Reset Wi-Fi settings.

After that, you can connect the device to the new Wi-Fi network normally by following the in-app instructions.

Getting started with ES2000’s spot-price optimization is simple and user-friendly. To begin, set your preferred temperature range, for example 20–24°C. After that, ES2000 automatically controls operation and optimizes electricity use based on the spot price.

Your ES2000 settings including the temperature range and other key configurations are saved even if the device is unplugged. When you plug it back in, it continues operating with the same settings, with no need to set anything up again.

ES2000 is designed to work together with the E-Smart Cloud service so all smart features including spot-price optimization are available. If Wi-Fi disconnects, the device continues operating as a standard thermostat and maintains your configured temperature range.

Without a network connection, ES2000 can’t use real-time spot price data for optimization. When Wi-Fi returns, the device automatically resumes all advanced features, including smart optimization for energy efficiency and cost control.

We update ES2000 firmware regularly to improve performance and add new features. Keeping your device up to date ensures everything works optimally.

When an update is available, you’ll see an update notice on the ES Connect app home screen.

To update the device, go to Settingsin the ES Connect app and tap Update.The process typically takes a few minutes.

Make sure the smart socket stays plugged in during the entire update. Unplugging the device mid-update may interrupt the process.

If you see a “sensor error”message in the app, do the following:

1. First, make sure your device firmware is up to date. Update instructions are in FAQ4.

Check that the sensor is firmly connected to the ES2000 socket. A loose connection is a common cause of this error.

If needed, gently disconnect the sensor and reconnect it, ensuring it’s securely in place.

If you’re having trouble pairing ES2000 with the ES Connect app, the issue is often related to Wi-Fi frequency.

ES2000 supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. If you use a dual-band network (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz), the device may try to connect to the incompatible 5 GHz band.

To complete pairing:

Temporarily disable the 5 GHz band on your router and leave only 2.4 GHz active.

This is usually done in router settings. For example, on TP-Link routers you can disable the 5 GHz band by turning off Smart Connect.

With Wi-Fi set to 2.4 GHz, continue pairing by following the ES Connect app instructions.

After pairing is complete, you can re-enable dual-band mode. ES2000 will remain connected to the 2.4 GHz network.

If icons or text look distorted or sometimes don’t appear correctly, it’s usually related to your phone’s font size settings.

Try the following:

1. Check your device font size settings.
   
   Display issues often happen when font size is set larger than default, which can affect how text and icons render in the app.
   
   
2. Set font size back to the standard/default level
   
   Set font size back to the standard/default level in Display or Accessibility settings.
   
   
3. Restart the ES Connect app.
   
   After fully closing it, reopen it so the UI refreshes.
   
   
4. Check for updates
   
   Check for app updates: make sure you’re using the latest ES Connect version, as UI fixes may be included in updates.

The ES2000 button has two functions: it works as both a power button and a setup button.

When you first start using the device, it must be paired with the ES Connect app by following the setup instructions. This initial setup is required for the physical button to work normally.

After setup, the power button should work as expected to turn the device on and off.

Please note that pressing the power button automatically disables ES2000’s Auto mode.

If the button still doesn’t work, the cause may be a loose sensor connection. In that case, you’ll typically see a “sensor error”message in the app. For safety reasons, ES2000 will switch off automatically when a sensor error is detected.
